To the editor:
Freedom is our ability to make choices. The more freedom we have, the more choices we can make.
The more choices we have on how to spend our money, manage our property, develop our businesses and educate our children, the better we all are. As parents, businesses and citizens, we strive to continuously improve our personal situations. As our situations improve, so does our community.
Our freedom in choices, however, is decreasing by yet more taxes and regulations. The taxes take away our choices of how we manage our resources by elected officials and their spending agendas. The more regulating laws we have, the fewer choices we have and far too often infringing on our rights as Americans guaranteed by our Constitution.
When we enter the election booth, we need to choose candidates with demonstrated commitment to our freedom and choice. For our state representative, we should choose Sheila Solon.
