Police on the lookout for a vehicle believed to be involved in several recent robberies spotted it Sunday evening and, after a brief chase, arrested two suspects.
Independence police arrested two suspects Sunday in connection with a string of fast food robberies in Independence over the last several weeks. Officers spotted a vehicle that matched the description witnesses at the restaurants had seen pull away after the robberies. Police were searching for the vehicle for several nights. They narrowed the time down of their searches in the early evening, when the robberies had been taking place. Officers were concentrated around restaurants. Sure enough, the suspect vehicle was spotted and police attempted to pull over the car, which sped off from cops, leading to a brief chase ending at Missouri 291 and Hidden Valley Road. The suspects, whose names haven't been released yet, could be responsible for at least eight armed robberies in Independence and Kansas City.
