History: The school was named after the original land owner, William Bryant.
What’s Happening: The school started the year with a new principal, Doug Nielsen. Nielsen, who came to the school from Daniel Young Elementary, is the school’s fourth principal since it opened. “The school continues to have great student activities for all students,” he said. “This includes the Classy Cat Singers, Reading Club, Reader’s Theater Club and Hobby Club.” In addition, students and staff at the school are working on a project with the community to raise money for a new playground.
What makes William Bryant special? “William Bryant is a very caring school. This can be seen in the love and care of the staff members and the assistance of parents through PTA and the Watch DOGS Program. Students and staff work hard to do their best at all times and to make everyone feel like they are part of the William Bryant family,” Nielsen said.
