Kali Carson, Reighan Childers and Miranda Burton each scored a first-half goal in leading the Eagles past Belton 3-0 Friday.

Darby Scharfenkamp stopped 10 Belton shots for the shutout.

“Tonight’s game was extremely important due to the fact we wanted to place in one of our tournaments this season, so it was a must-win for us,” Grain Valley coach Aleana Balistreri said.

TRUMAN 12, RUSKIN 0: Becky Colon scored two goals and assisted on two more in leading host Truman to a Suburban Middle Six victory. The match was stopped after the first half because of the mercy rule.

Amber Young added two goals and Shayla Jochum a goal and two assists for Truman (10-7, 5-3).
