The Sibley Railroad Bridge on Santa Fe Street in Sibley will close May 1 and 2 periodically for a routine inspection.


The Missouri Department of Transportation will conduct the inspection, with crews working from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.


The bridge is owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. It is the only access to Fort Osage from the south.


Bridge closures will be 10 to 30 minutes at a time, and efforts will be made to accommodate vehicle traffic.


There are no knownn issues with the bridge, according to information from the Jackson County Public Works Department.
