It occurs to me that we have a federal government that wants to hold the American economy and her people back, making us slaves to the Middle East oil nations. They are definitely not acting in the best interests of us, they are stopping new oil exploration at every turn.

I have also found that we have 35 states with oil reserves waiting to be tapped and put on the market, it’s time for us to tell these people that the sky is not falling and the green technologies are years away.

Start doing what’s best for America and to heck with the rest of the world. Let us drill our own oil, and refine our own oil. Maybe then we would not have to deal with the Middle Easterners and all their problems.

I call on all of you to call or write your congressman and senators, enough is enough. The current price of gas is taking away one of the things I enjoyed as a child, and still enjoy as a 50 something man, AKA the ride in the country.

It’s time we get a president and Congress that is more interested in our future and well being than that of some sheik.

Make “Drill Here, Drill Now” a policy, not just a slogan!
