The Oak Grove Board of Education meets the fourth Monday of each month. The board met March 25, 2009, and took the following action (All action is unanimous unless otherwise noted):
 

Recognized the candidates for MSTA Teacher of the Year. The candidates include Valerie Converse, Primary Building; Chris Smith, Maple Elementary Betheny Pleacher, Oak Grove Middle School and Angie Allison, Oak Grove High School. The Oak Grove MSTA Educator of the year was selected as Valerie Converse. Approved allowing the Kansas City Panthers football team to play at the district football facilities for the 2009 season. The district will now work on a contract with the Kansas City Panthers prior to the beginning of the season. Approved the fourth year of the district’s contract with OPAA! Food management for the 2009-10 school year. The company manages the district’s food service program. Heard program evaluations fro the special education, early childhood and school age child care programs. Information was given on future goals and plans as well as what has been happening in each of the programs this year. Approved the Technology Plan for 2009-12. The plan includes goals and strategies to complete those goals in regards to improvements to the district’s technology programs and infrastructure. Approved the date for the reorganizational meeting to be at 6 p.m. April 20. At this time, two new board members will be sworn into office. In addition, the board president and vice-president will be selected.
