In order to clear up any doubt or confusion on the subject of the presidential succession, Joseph Smith, the venerable president of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints church, has announced that his son, Frederick M. Smith, is to be his successor in that office. President Smith founded the Reorganized church and has been its only president, filling the office continuously for more than half a century.
