Robert Dickhout, a patrolman on the Sheriff’s Highway Patrol for more than five years, was appointed by the Jackson County Court as Chief Park Ranger for the county. Dickhout, who lives at Lone Jack, will be given a leave of absence from the Sheriff’s Patrol to take over his new duties, which will include coordination of the work of the patrol and the park rangers.
