Does your heart grieve for the America we knew as we grew up? We could go shopping and leave the doors to our homes and cars unlocked. We felt safe because we had the blessings of the Lord God in our country.

Now, we have let a few people decide they don’t want God in our nation. We have changed. Have you noticed? God is trying to wake us up. He is shaking the world as He said He would. Read the Bible and do it. We’ve got to bring God back to our homes and lives. Everything that is good in life will never come back until people repent of their sins. II Chronicles 7:14 says “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

It is time for us to have the wisdom to listen to our creator. Choose this day who you will serve, Christ or Satan. Our lawmakers need to make laws that do not offend our creator. George Washington in 1781 had 3 million people in America fast and pray for America as they were going against our enemy. He had Congress read Psalm 35. We need leaders like that again, if we are ever to have God’s blessings upon America again.

When the wicked rule, the people mourn. The key to a safe world is to live by the Word of God. Proverbs 16:7 states, “When a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.” And if we want a nation like we used to have where God blessed us greatly and we had jobs, security, happiness and goodness and were not fearful.

I’d like to share this poem I found in the bottom of a drawers. I don’t know who wrote it or where it came from, but I felt the Lord gave it to me to share with you.

The Difference

“I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day.
I had so much to accomplish
that I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me
and heavier became each task.
Why doesn’t God help me? I wondered,
He answered, ‘you didn’t ask.’
I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on, gray and bleak.
I wondered why God didn’t show me,
He said, ‘but you didn’t see.’
I tried to come into God’s presence,
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
‘My child, you didn’t knock.’
I woke up early this morning
and paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.

It woke me up to the fact we all need to seek him each day of our lives. God bless us one and all. I wonder, can God bless us as long as our nation has a law that kills His creation (unborn babies), and also allow homosexuals to marry when that’s an abomination in God’s sight. Let’s honor Him with obedience. God loves us all but hates all sin.
