Independence police are investigating an apparent vandalism spree that left several cars damaged throughout the city.

Tom Gentry, spokesperson for police, said about 27 incidents involving vandalism were recorded between Monday night and early Tuesday.

“Most of the properties that suffered damaged were cars,” Gentry said. “There were some homes in there, too.”

The reports were scattered throughout the city, he said, and some cases were related.
Anyone with information should call police at 325-7300.
