Lee’s Summit is among three Missouri communities getting grants from the Historic Preservation Fund.


The city is getting $10,528 to complete National Register of Historic Places nominations for three residential historic districts and one residential property in the Old Town area west of downtown. The properties were built between approximately 1870 through the 1950s.


The Missouri Department of Natural Resources also announced today that Excelsior Springs will receive $12,960 and Warrensburg will receive $12,000 for work related to the National Register of Historic Places.
