Lessie E. Rinacke, 93, of Atherton, Mo., passed away October 25, 2009, at the Golden Living Center.

Lessie E. Rinacke, 93, of Atherton, Mo., passed away October 25, 2009, at the Golden Living Center.

Lessie was born April 18, 1916, in Linn Creek, Mo., the daughter of Leslie Earl and Mary Catherine (Risner) Walls.

She worked at Lake City Arsenal Plant for 10 to 15 years, during WWII at two different times.

Lessie was a member of the Six Mile Baptist Church.

She was an avid gardener, seamstress and loved her grandchildren and making Sunday dinners.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to the Six Mile Cemetery, 2821 Trenchard, Indep, Mo., 64057.

Lessie was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Alfred Rinacke in August , 2001, and two sisters, Ruth Turpin and Pearl Morris and one brother, Gearl Walls.

Survivors include three sons and one daughter, Harry Rinacke and wife Wanda of Indep, Mo., Treva Downs of Atherton, Mo., Melton Rinacke of Indep, Mo., Geral Rinacke and wife Judy of Sibley, Mo., 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and many, many friends and many, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at New Salem Funeral Home. Burial in Six Mile Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1 to 2:30 p.m., prior to the service at New Salem chapel.
