Two people suffered minor injuries in a four-vehicle wreck just before noon Thursday on westbound Interstate 70 in Oak Grove.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2007 Ford slowed for traffic. A 1999 Ford then struck the 2007 Ford from behind and hit a 2001 Lincoln LS. The Lincoln spun and hit a 2010 Chevrolet, sending it into the rear of the 2007 Ford.
A fifth vehicle, a 2003 Volkswagen, went into the median to avoid a collision.
Elizabeth E. Harrison, 25, of Willard, Mo., was driving the 1999 Ford. She was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs. Her vehicle had extensive damage.
Robert L. Wright, 75, of St. Charles, Mo., was riding in the 2010 Chevrolet. He was taken to Shawnee Mission Medical Center. The vehicle had moderate damage.
The Lincoln also had extensive damage. The 2007 Ford and the Volkswagen were driven from the scene.
