Liberty snapped a 7-7 tie with three runs in the top of the seventh inning for a 10-7 consolation bracket victory over Blue Springs in the Metro Tournament at Legacy Park Wednesday. Blue Springs (2-2) trailed 7-1 before tying the score with two runs in the fourth inning, one in the fifth and three in the sixth.

“The kids didn’t quit,” Blue Springs coach Marc Hines said.

Jacob Woods singled and doubled and Marcus Brown hit a solo homer to power the Wildcats.

Wylson Lamb was the losing Blue Springs pitcher.

The Wildcats meet Rockhurst at 4 p.m. today in their final tournament game.
