Recap of area boys tennis matches for Saturday, April 25.

An undefeated day led to a first-place finish at the Boonville Tournament for the Grain Valley boys tennis team.
Playing with two singles players and five doubles teams, every Eagles player or doubles team went at least 3-1 on the day. The doubles teams of Michael Draper-Derek Bowlin, Chase Gabriel-Breck McPherson and Zach Norfolk-Dillon Helsper all went 4-0 in the four dual wins.
In singles, Colin Chastain and Jake Pugh both went 3-1 for second place. In doubles, Ryan Marrs-Dillon Perdue and Chris Porter-Matt Kisow both went 3-1 for second.
“This is the first tournament win for the boys program,” Eagles coach Randy Draper said. “We were third in this last year. Fulton was a district champion last year, that was a great match we won 4-3. We knew that match would decide it when we played it. The kids played super.”
