To the editor:
I will be voting “yes” on the public safety issue on the ballot next Tuesday. Why? Because the safety of my family and friends is of the utmost importance to me.
I am confident that the “Citizens Public Safety Watch Committee” will make sure the money is spent as promised. The police officer assigned to the committee will have inside knowledge of how every tax dollar is being spent and will be a voice for the Police Department.
The taxes collected for streets and parks have made a huge difference in the livability of our city. I will vote with confidence that the members of the citizens committee that recommended this tax did their homework.
Again, I will be voting “yes” on April 3, and I urge you do the same.
