The William Chrisman football team continues to struggle.

Previously winless Belton dropped the Bears to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the Suburban Middle Seven with a  48-19 homecoming victory Saturday.

A strong ground game led by Shawn Norman’s 33 carries for 184 yards and four touchdowns sparked the Pirates. Belton rushed for 257 yards on 55 carries and added another 126 by passing.

Sophomore quarterback Dylan Cole led the Bears with an 11-yard TD pass to DeMarco Hill and rushed 18 yards for another score.

Kreig Jarnagin passed to Alex Ball for the third Chrisman score in the fourth quarter.

Belton never looked back after taking 13-6 first-quarter lead and extending it to 27-12 by halftime.
